I got an email today from Taylor Moore at appdevelopmentcost.com talking about their calculator.
I checked it out and really like it. It takes into consideration things that clients often don’t realize will affect the cost of development. Items like client availability, availability for information/questions, security and project management.
As apps become more sophisticated, it’s often assumed so features are assumed though they still take development. User accounts can imply server features beyond simple logins. It may need an online database, device syncing and so on.
These all affect cost and it can be dramatic. The bottomline cost will be determined largely by the development team selected but the levels of complexity can be the same for an app regardless of the developer.
