iOS in Practice is a hands-on guide with 98 specific techniques to help solve the specific problems you’ll encounter over and over as you work on your iPhone and iPad apps. You’ll dig into the practical nuts and bolts of applying views, view controllers, table views and cells, audio, images, graphics, file structure—and more
The examples in the book are written for iOS 6 so keep that in mind. However, the fundamentals are still there and are solid.
My intention in the book is to teach the reader how to develop for iOS as opposed to just show specific SDK calls and such. Given that, going through the exercises of developing the apps for each chapter (and even updating them as you’d like) is a great route to learning iOS development.
